New Jersey Nets

The name rhymed with two of the city’s other teams the Mets (baseball) and Jets (football). The team is scheduled to be relocated to the Brooklyn borough of New York City for the 2010–11 season. The team colors are Navy, Red, Dark Silver, Silver, White and their logo is a blue shield with Nets written in white, with a red outline above a grey basketball.

The Nets’s latest addition to their roster is Yi Jianlian who trained with the Chinese Olympic basketball team. He is seen to be the Nets' marketing answer to the Houston Rockets' Yao Ming.

The Nets’ road jersey is in red. It is sometimes used in home games too.  Their alternate uniform is an all gray jersey with “New Jersey” written across the front and the player's number displayed right below. The team also has a jersey in which the player’s name and number is featured on the back while the NBA logo is embroidered on the upper left shoulder.
