Portland Trail Blazers

Portland Trail Blazers or the Blazers play for Portland, Oregon of the western Conference in the NBA. The team entered the league in 1970 and they are the only major league franchise in Oregon. The Blazers have been able to get into the NBA finals three times but have won the title only once in 1977.

The colors of the team are red, white, black and silver. For home games, the players wear white jerseys with red and black accents while for road games, the team uses red uniforms with white, silver and black accents. From 1970 up to 1978, the Blazers used their red road uniforms and then switched to black jerseys for the next season. The red jerseys were used again in the 1984-1985 season and after that, moved again to black. The team’s logo is a pinwheel which was designed by the cousin of former Blazer executive Harry Glickman. It is a graphic interpretation of 2 five-on-five basketball teams lined up against each other. A side of the pinwheel is printed in red while the other side is in black, silver or white.
